On Tuesday 10th October Chris Peach gave a lecture to the year 2 and 3 undergraduates at the University of Westminster at the faculty of architecture and the built environment.

The students are currently doing a project on natural daylight and its effects on the building both inside and out, having recently looked at Le Corbusier’s sun path, Chris Peach was asked if he could present a lecture on internal lighting design so that the students could develop an understanding of both natural and artificial lighting and what to consider and look for when designing a space and what the overall effects of light can have on the building and its occupants.

The lecture covered different ways to use light using various lighting techniques and showed what effects these can have on the space from an atmospheric perspective.

Chris also highlighted the effects lighting can have on these from a colour rending perspective.
